Dunbars PlumPrunus x dunbari (maritima x americana) Beach x American Plum
High Quality Fruits-Prolific Production- Can Be Eaten Fresh
Of all the plums we grow from seed, Dunsbar produces the best quality seedlings in a variety of flavors. Trees fruit heavy on short spurs as well as along branches. Trees are more vigorous and upright in growth forming a single trunk. Dunsbar is common where there is an overlap of American and Beach plums where they cross pollinate each other. First recorded in 1900 as a garden hybrid. Fruits range from red to blue with everything in-between. Sizes run between ¾-1 inches in diameter. Recommended for its quality fruit for jams. Tends to be a freestone plum. Our Ecos trees were selected for their high quality fruit with good yields and no insect damage.
