Heavy yielding sweet flavored selection enjoyed by those who are not sunchoke fans. Each plant produces huge clusters of tubers. When growing they push aside the soil making harvesting as easy as reaching into the soil to pluck the tubers like fruit. The knobs of this selection are unique in that very little soil gets caught with the smooth skin. As a result this is not much of a concern for most soil types so the tubers are easy to clean. But they are bumpy and large which makes prepping them more challenging. This could be a new commercial variety because of its universal appeal in the flavor department. Plants are short (5-7’) with a few flowers and produce multiple branches all the way up to the top, so the growth is pyramid like.
(Ships dormant in spring and fall from Oct. to Dec.and again March to May.) If sold out in the spring or there is a short crop , your order will automatically fall ship in October.
