Judzilla rose is rose found in central Europe used for hips and petals for conserves. Like dog rose this species is a giant mound of rose reaching 10 to 15 ft. tall. The canes at our farm are immense reaching almost 2 inches in diameter. Certainly the godzilla of roses, this species rose is rarely found in cultivation yet is highly regarded as one of Europes most beautiful wild roses.
At our farm in Michigan, we have found Judzilla to be a lot like dog rose with clean foliage all summer long, bright pink flowers and long one inch red hips. It has done well for us and is certainly the mammoth of shrub roses. Its durable nature and beautiful fragrance is worth growing if you have room for it.
