Delicious and easy to grow from seed, just plant 1/4 inch deep or less and tamp firmly into the soil. Plant after danger of frost. Good foliage production in the first year, however it is in the 2nd year that the yields will greatly increase. It does produce a flower head and can be reproduced from seed to keep the planting going. This is the large leaved form of sorrel and has a nice flavor which is not overly tart like wild sorrel. This is not a particular selection but has been maintained on our farm for several years and has been a vigorous grower.
