Cedar of Lebanon

Pot, 3-6" COLE_3-6 $12.20 Out of stock

One of the most distinctive evergreen trees growing to 100 ft. or more in the mountain ranges of Asia Minor, Some fo the largest trees are found in Lebanon and Turkey, but has been cultivated in North America since colonial times. Cedar of Lebanon develops into a massive tree with a thick trunk and broad spreading branches. We have been growing many forms of it and we found a few fully hardy in our wind swept open field where minus 20 hits every now and then.

This species is a beautiful addition to any landscape able to grow in a wide variety of climates. The dry soils are preferrable with good drainage. Trees have medium growth rate at 6-12 inches per year. The trees are naturally conical for the first 25 years or so and then spread out with wide spreading branches.

Hard to get seed of this so enjoy now with some plants we produced which are now 3 years old and grown in pots for maximum survivability.
