This newsletter highlights a few of the oak trees we grow as well those who helped us in the quest for the perfect edible acorn, fastest growing oak and evergreen oaks. The above image shows a type of bebbs oak, a natural hybrid of bur and white oak. My brother Chris and I are reminiscing about how we planted the acorn of this tree on a cold October morning about 30 years ago. There were a lot of oaks surrounding this tree but I sold those. I kept this one as a memory of that day that I got my brother and my musician friend Jesse up early on a Saturday morning to help me plant about 100 lbs. of acorns.
