Cedar Propagation Table Number Three

This is one of the original solid cedar propagation tables used at Oikos Tree Crops. Built with one inch thick cedar deck planking and solid honeylocust legs. The cedar was remilled to remove the old finish and stains from years of propagation. But it is not pristine like it came fresh out of the forest either. Who wants that? 

SOLID CEDAR Top Size: 70.5 inch length and 42.5 inch width.  Made with 5.25 inch wide decking planks one inch thick.  5/4

SOLID HONEYLOCUST LEGS  30 inches tall.            FINISHED WITH 4 coats Polyurethane Clear Matte and sanding sealer.  (Not shiney like  # 2 table)

AMERICAN BEECH, CATALPA AND CEDAR FRAME; Provides strength to the cedar top and prevents sagging. 

Durable propagation table that does not break down with moisture. Finish allows for easy clean up. Cleanliness in handling plant material is important. 

Over time it became apparent that I was going to have to make my own tables as everything on the market broke down quickly and wolomanized wood was not meant for indoor use let alone having it in contact with plant roots. Both copper and arsenic are essentially toxic to plants even in small doses. After I ditched the original rusted metal legs and hardware, I finally came up with a good frame and long lasting legs able to take a lot of weight without bending.  This table is different from the #2 cedar table in that the finish is matte.

For furniture pick up direct from the farm or viewing prior to purchase please use the contact form on the front of the website to schedule a time.  Payment can be made on sight the day of pick up using any major credit card or check. There will be a limit of six propagation tables made from the original tables used at my farm. 

Michigan sales tax is automatically applied to all pick up orders of furniture.
