Our first selection of daylily selected just for its edible flowers. Flava Flavor delivers both a highly fragrant blossom for eating as well as higher yields than the mountain daylily. Each flower scape can produce up to 10 blossoms or more with a branching stem structure. This is not particularly common with daylilies. It was bred from a clone from Englerths Gardens which we grew out many seedlings of it until we found one plant where the aroma was apparent 10 ft. away. The tall 4 ft. scapes make it much easier to pick as well.
This plant is shipped bareroot dormant in the fall and spring. October and then again in March and April.
