From Seed to Table.......

Tables made entirely out of lumber harvested from trees grown from seed at the Oikos Tree Crops farm.  Seedling trees grown at my farm are milled into lumber and turned into tables. These will include pear, hybrid oak, chestnut, walnut and many other fruit and nut wood. Each table is numbered and personalized with a copper tag to identify its composition.  Harvesting of the wood was done by thinning my old seed grown beds, removing crowded trees and cutting out weak and dead trees.  Each species highlights its wood quality in the different genus done over the last 40 plus years growing at my farm. 

Propagation tables:  Made from our original white oak and cedar tables that we used for propagating plants. (Not grown at the farm.) The wood was remilled and the tables were completely reconstructed with new and improved hardware and legs.  Each table has a story to tell captured in wood. Limited availability of six propagation tables. Starts September 15, 2026.

From seed to table: American hybrid chestnut wood tables: All of the wood including the legs were grown at Oikos Tree Crops farm highlighting a lifetime of commited to growing trees for food and wood.  Starts November 1, 2026.
